Get to know TupyCAD and the Digital Catalog

Structural and industrial projects demand precision and excellence as their traits. To achieve all of this, each detail makes all the difference. Tupy, a company that is a world reference in smelting, aiming to support the work of engineers, artists, designers, and architects, developed TupyCAD and the Electronic Catalog. In addition to contributing to the perfection of our departments' projects, these two programs provide more speed in the structuring of projects, and offer the professional the possibility of directly creating quotes for projects designed in AutoCAD™.

TupyCAD, as well as the Digital Catalog, have the complete Tupy portfolio for the Connections and Profiles sector, supplying detailed techniques and access to 2D and 3D designs through a digital medium, in addition to high and low resolution photos of products. Both are focused on the technical and commercial departments.

TupyCAD

TupyCAD is integrated into the AutoCAD™ program, in order to place pieces with real dimensions in your projects. To include items, the user may choose between the 2D format, or may use the product's specific symbol, depending on the type of design used.

Working within the AutoCAD™ program itself, TupyCAD has the same functionality as the Digital Catalog.

But in addition to generating lists of materials, randomly choosing items, TupyCAD is different because it can select all products present in the project that is structured within AutoCAD™. This guide, generated from TupyCAD, may be managed through the Digital Catalog as well, provided both programs are working in an integrated fashion.

In addition to this, when exporting the material list, TupyCAD also provides an option to insert the product table inside the project within AutoCAD™.

Digital Catalog

The program has tools for creating material lists and for sending budget requests. For quotes, it is possible to select and remove products, and to define necessary quantities. After having generated the material list for the project, the Digital Catalog offers options for exporting in the text format (txt) or the table format (xls). The user will also have the option of externally saving the document or directly sending it to Tupy through the system itself.

The Digital Catalog may be integrated with TupyCAD. In addition to managing material lists created through the Digital Catalog, the user may visualize and administer quotes generated through TupyCAD.

TupyCAD and the Digital Catalog have the complete Tupy portfolio for the Connections and Profiles sector.

Advantages

Advantages

TupyCAD and the Digital Catalog may be executed in two operating systems: Windows and Mac OS. The programs work online and offline and their information may be updated. Another highlight of the programs is the content — the program offers greatly detailed technical specifications for all products. In addition to this, the integration of these two Tupy systems is another advantage, since it allows for products to be managed within the project's own design or externally, without AutoCAD™ needing to be opened.

Technical Specifications

Technical Specifications

TupyCAD contains technical information on BSP, NPT Medium Pressure Class 150, and NPT High Pressure Class 300 thread connections. In addition to specific content on Tupypres® and Profiles, there is information such as: manufacturing norms, materials, inspection, thread specifications, brand identification, surface protection, and applications. For BSP and NPT connections, the program contains a pressure table that considers various temperatures and nominal diameters, and other information such as dimensions and unit weight. As far as Tupypres® is concerned, it is possible, in TupyCAD, to find content about technical characteristics, such as body, nut, thread, galvanization, and components, as well as data on service pressure and operating temperature.
